Overview

Prerequisites for applying for Erasmus+ scholarship and mobility:

Within the application, submit the following documents in English – your CV in any format, transcript of records for all completed semesters at RTU signed and stamped or digitally signed by a representative of Students Service Centre, and a motivation letter for participation in Erasmus+ mobility.

All communication will happen via the e-mail mentioned in your application form.

Note that this is RTU’s internal application for the Erasmus+ scholarship. Later the approved applicants will apply for the traineeship position themselves.

  • At the moment of application for Erasmus+ scholarship for a traineeship, students are not required to know a particular traineeship place, but students will have to find a traineeship position themselves. Traineeship cannot be carried out in Latvia.
  • After approval of the traineeship scholarship, it will stay available while the student is studying at RTU and within one year after graduation from RTU.
  • Students can do several Erasmus+ traineeships (and/or exchange study) periods, in total not exceeding 12 months within each study level (bachelor, master, doctoral). It is possible to carry out a mandatory, voluntary and recent graduate traineeship.
  • The minimum period of traineeship – 2 months, maximum – 12 months.

COUNTRIES where Erasmus+ exchange studies and traineeship can take place: EU member states – Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden; EEA member states – Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway; EU candidate countries – Turkey, Northern Macedonia, Serbia.
